<목포 아리랑>은 1992년 김정수가 작곡한 곡으로, 편성은 독창과피아노 반주로 이루어졌다.
허형만의 시에 곡을 붙인 것이다.
이 악보는 노랫말의 국제음성기호(IPA), 로마자(Romanization) 그리고 영문 의역 및 직역(English paraphrased translation)을 실었다. 이 악보는 한국가곡 연구소에서 2009년부터 연구하여 2011년과 2014년에 제작 출판한 <한국가곡 총서 Vol.I & II>에 실린 악보이다. 이는 외국인들이 한국작품을 연주할 때, 가사에 대한 발음 접근과 내용 이해를 쉽게 하기 위한 목적과 함께 작품성과 예술성이 뛰어난 한국가곡들을 세계인들에게 소개하기 위해 제작되었다.

This score provides Korean song text with International Phonetic Alphabet(IPA) transcriptions, Romanized transcriptions, and English paraphrased translations. It is contained in "Korean Art Song International Edition I & II" which Korean Art Song Research published in 2011 and 2014 as a result of its research work since 2009. It aims to introduce foreigners to artistically outstanding Korean art songs along with the correct pronunciations and meanings of Korean texts.
